For Christmas, we decided to get Mother/Daughter Fixes. My girls loved their fixes for back to school and had been excited about getting another. This review for my 11-year-old, Sara. To distinguish between the two fixes, I am calling Sara’s the December 2018 Review and my 8-year-old’s fix is the January 2019 Review. You can find links to that review and their back to school reviews at the end of this post.😃
As I mentioned in my January Review post, we opened our boxes together the day after Christmas. It was fun to see what we each got because I didn’t peek.
What is Stitch Fix?
This post contains affiliate links. If you sign up for Stitch Fix through my referral link, I receive a commission that supports my blog. Please read my disclosure policy for more details.
Not familiar with Stitch Fix? Check out my post-Finding Style with Stitch Fix to read about how it works. We love getting a box of new clothes and being able to try them on in the comfort of our home. With Stitch Fix, you can mix and match with items you already own and try new styles. Keep what you want and send back anything you don’t (with free shipping both ways). There is no minimum purchase, and you can choose how often you want to receive a fix (automatically ship every 1-3 months or manually choose a date).
Stitch Fix Kids offers sizes 2T-14, and each kid box comes with 8-12 items that are priced $10-35. I love that Stitch Fix realizes that kids grow fast and kept the price of items reasonable. There is a $20 style fee for each box that is used as a credit on anything you keep. Each of my daughters received 10 items in their Fix along with a fun activity sheet and stickers.
What Sara Kept
Sara loved this top. Comfortable fabric and it has a fun graphic on the front.
Sara needed some comfy pants that she could relax in at home. She liked both pieces of this outfit but decided to only keep the pants.
As I just mentioned, she was looking for comfy pants and these joggers were also great. This was actually the first item that we have ever exchanged for size. I forgot to change sizes after her first fix, so these were a little small. Luckily, they had the next size up in stock when we went to check out. We sent the pants that came back with the returns, and then the bigger size arrived a couple days later. Very easy and no extra charge to exchange.
What She Returned
Sara loved these jeans that are pictured above with the gray top, but they were a little small. Unfortunately, they didn’t have the next size in stock when we checked out, so we had to return them. (She did receive the right size in her birthday fix which will be posted soon! 😃)
This top was part of the set pictured above. She liked this top but decided not to keep it because she didn’t need another sweatshirt.
This top is also pictured above with the blue joggers. It was cute on her and comfy, but Sara didn’t like the twist in the front.
I liked the colors in this dress and thought it was really cute, but Sara thought about keeping it. Ultimately it came down to keeping the joggers pictured above.
The pink leggings were cute and fit her, but she decided she had plenty of other leggings.
Sara liked this coat, and we thought it was a nice quality coat. Since she already has a coat, we returned it.
My girls both got these leggings in their boxes. Sara doesn’t mind matching Megan sometimes, but she decided to send them back. Super cute colors and pattern though!
As you can see, Sara is my more budget-conscious child. If I give her a price range, she does really well sticking to it. Since she only got a few items in her Christmas Fix, we scheduled her to get another for her birthday in February. That review will also be coming soon.
