Stitch Fix Kids celebrated their first year in July. We were so excited to try it for the first time last summer but procrastinated a bit signing up and the girls got their Fixes late in August. This year, we wanted to get a jump start on back to school shopping so we scheduled Fixes in July. The girls opened their Fixes together for the video below. This Fix (July 2019 Kids Review) is for my almost 9-year-old daughter Megan. The review for Sara (my 12-year-old) is the August 2019 Kids Review.

Not familiar with Stitch Fix? Check out my post-Finding Style with Stitch Fix to read about how it works. We love getting a box of new clothes and being able to try them on in the comfort of our home. With Stitch Fix, you can mix and match with items you already own and try new styles. Keep what you want and send back anything you don’t (with free shipping both ways). There is no minimum purchase, and you can choose how often you want to receive a fix (automatically ship every 1-3 months or manually choose a date).
Stitch Fix Kids offers sizes 2T-14, and each kid box comes with 8-12 items that are priced $10-35. I love that Stitch Fix realizes that kids grow fast and kept the price of items reasonable. There is a $20 style fee for each box that is used as a credit on anything you keep. Each of my daughters received 10 items in their Fix along with a fun activity sheet and stickers.
What Megan Kept
Gray and pink dress with unicorns—what’s not to love? Megan loved this dress (of course!), so it was definitely a keeper.
Gray top-Megan loved the design on the front and the crocheted sleeves added a pretty element to this top.
Megan loves skirts and the pink tulle skirt was just darling on her.
Graphic tee-this top had a cute print on front and it paired well with the purple leggings that Megan wanted to keep.
Megan loved the print on these leggings, and I have found that Stitch Fix Kids leggings are great quality. In fact, Megan tripped outside about a week after getting these leggings. She was ok but scraped up her knee underneath the leggings. When something similar happened in other brands of leggings, they always got a hole and we ended up throwing them away. Amazingly, the Stitch Fix leggings were completely fine!
Megan loved the Toms shoes that she got in her Christmas Fix. These glittery shoes were perfect for back to school.
What She Returned
Megan liked the look of this striped dress at first, but she didn’t love the cold shoulder. After trying it on, she decided to return it.
When we pulled this set out of the box, we noticed right away that it was very small. The outside tag attached said 6x but the inside tags on the clothes said 2T. Oops!😂 Although it was cute, we weren’t interested in an exchange.
Megan loved the colors in the leggings and would have loved to keep them. The mermaid print on the top was cute, but it was also a cold shoulder cut that she didn’t like.
Megan liked the gray legging in this set (in the first picture with the unicorn top) and I thought she would love the rainbow unicorns. She decided it was a little too bold and bright for her.
Overall, Megan loved her Fix. She ended up keeping 6/10. We only need to find her a few more items, so definitely a great start to back to school shopping. To learn more, check out Stitch Fix.
